Curtis is a thriving rural community in southwest Nebraska with a population of approximately 1,000 people. Agriculture remains the primary industry, contributing to a strong work ethic, family-centered values, and a close-knit community atmosphere.

About Curtis Berean Bible Church

Curtis Berean Bible Church exists:

"All to the praise of God's glory" (Ephesians 1:1–14).

We seek to glorify God:

1. By faithfully teaching and obeying His Word while keeping the gospel central.

2. By discipling believers toward Christlikeness.

3. By evangelizing our community and the nations with grace, truth, and love.

We are a Bible-centered congregation committed to expository preaching, discipleship, missions, and meaningful Christian fellowship.

Our church culture is warm, relational, and grounded in Scripture. Monthly fellowship meals and regular ministry involvement help foster strong relationships throughout the congregation.

The congregation consists primarily of mature believers, including older couples and widows, along with several younger families and children. We are thankful for the stability and faithfulness God has provided and desire to continue reaching future generations with the gospel.

 

 

 

Ministries

Current ministries include:

• Sunday School for all ages

• Life Groups

• Monday Morning Men's Study

• College Bible Study

• Kids Club (K–6)

• Youth Group (Grades 7–12)

• Annual Vacation Bible School

We also support numerous mission and ministry partners, including the Berean Fellowship of Churches, Ethnos360, Pioneers, Navigators, Samaritan's Purse, Bethel Bible Camp, and others.

 

 

 

Church Leadership and Pastoral Transition

Curtis Berean Bible Church is governed by a plurality of elders.

 

The Lead Pastor serves as one of the elders and works collaboratively with the Elder Board in shepherding the congregation and providing spiritual leadership.

Our current pastor is retiring after 17 years of faithful ministry. His retirement is not the result of conflict, crisis, or church difficulties. We are grateful for his years of service and are seeking the man God is preparing to lead the next chapter of ministry at Curtis Berean Bible Church.

The Elder Board provides stable leadership and values open communication, shared responsibility, and biblical decision-making.

 

 

 

Opportunities for Future Ministry

We believe God has positioned our church for continued ministry and growth. Areas of opportunity include:

• Reaching additional young families.

• Building relationships with parents through existing children's ministries.

• Expanding community engagement and outreach.

• Developing future leaders within the church.

• Continuing to strengthen discipleship across all age groups.

We are not seeking dramatic change, but rather faithful leadership that builds upon the strong biblical foundation already in place.
